You shouldn’t have a problem installing this if you have medium or high scope mounts, but if you use low risers, you may need to unmount your scope in order to get the lower half on. It is very lightweight. I’m not sure if the manufacturer wanted to shave weight or material cost, but there is a lot of air space around this. I can’t imagine this was easy to manufacture and I’d be interested to see how they cast these tiny pieces. It seems solid overall, but I can imagine a hard hit might damage it. I certainly wouldn’t use it to hang anything heavier than a small flashlight or laser sight. It mounts fine and holds securely. I put mine on a 1″ bushnell scope, so I had a chance to use the plastic adapter sleeves that came with it. Overall good quality. Packaging was just a plastic bag, which I’m okay with through the mail.
