Compatible Models Compatible with Prier “Old Style” full-turn 500 series Mansfield style wall hydrants manufactured from 1970-2006. Available for models 578-08 and 579-08. Perfect Replacement The stem assembly is made of heavy-duty copper and stainless steel and features left and right hand graphite packing. Also has the support washer on the square end and O-rings on the spring loaded end. Meets OEM standards and tested by the manufacturer to ensure longevity and extend the life of your wall hydrants. Leak Solutions If your Mansfield Style 500 Series residential hydrant is leaking behind the handle, you can repair the hydrant from the outside of the structure with our Stem Assembly. Save time and money by not having to replace the entire hydrant! Easy to Replace Turn off the water first. Unscrew the handle, packing nut and old stem. Mounts to new stem using left or right hand packing parts. Then insert the assembled new stem. (Pre-tapped brass male threads go into the faucet and thread into place.) Tighten the original packing nut and screw the handle back onto the hydrant.
