German 4/4 1950 R Arnold Stoess Silver Mounted Violin Bow

Description This full size violin bow for sale was made by R. Arnold Stoess in Germany c 1950.  It is a finely made bow with an octagonal pernambuco stick, and it is stamped “R. Arnold Stoess” above the frog. The bow is silver mounted with a silver frog; however, the frog is not original to the bow.  The stick handles nicely and draws a sweet, smooth sound out of the violin.  This is an unusual bow for Stoess, as most of his bows are gold mounted.  The bow is previously used but in excellent condition.  This bow is very high quality and would be an excellent bow for someone who wants a nice Stoess bow at a more affordable price.
