Description Dodge 5.9L Cummins ECM 2003-2007 Dodge RAM 5.9L Cummins Engine Control Module The 2003 – 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 & Ram 3500 series vehicles were equipped with the New 24 Valve Cummins engines which utilized the Bosch Common Rail Injected Fuel system. Like the Isuzu Duramax engines, this Common Rail system used a CP3 injection pump to pressurize a “Common Rail” the injectors are connected to. The brains of the Common Rail is the 2 Plug 4931980 ECM (Engine Control Module) or FCM (Fuel Injection Module). The 4931980 ECM mounts to the side of the block hence the terminology block mounted ECM. The 2003-2007 Dodge Ram 2500 & Dodge Ram 3500 series Trucks utilized the 2 plug Cummins ECM’s (Engine Control Module) or FCM (Fuel Injection Module) ECM MUST BE PROGRAMMED.
