people with hardwood floor are leaving bad reviews because they don’t know that you’re supposed to use rubber rug pads for hardwood floors under this. This pad is for cushioning and protecting your rug. I used it on my carpeted room to have a nice cushion sitting area I do not have this problem if anything it helps the rug not slide off the carpet. It also helps the rug not fold up on itself even if you have hardwood floor. The only thing you need if you have hardwood floor is to get in adhesive or under this padding. Both sides of this padding are pretty soft. The bottom is just slightly more flattened, but it doesn’t make a difference to me if anything it should help to stick rubber adhesive pads under it if you have hardwood floor. Nothing to complain about and definitely won’t be returning. This feels like it will last a few years if not more.
